Working with a consultant should be easy, and we try to make it easy for you to work with us. When you reach out to us, we sit down with you and listen to what you really need. Sometimes we are asked to meet with your board, too, so they can meet us and hear what we have to say. There is no cost for one or two of those exploratory meetings. We then put together a proposal that outlines what we will do to help you and over what time-line, what it will cost, what you can expect from us and what we expect from you. If we both agree on the terms of the work to be done and the cost, we provide a contract that spells out payment arrangements and what we will deliver and when. Usually we ask for a percentage of the contract fee up front, with other payments spread out over the course of the work. We check in frequently to make sure you are getting what you need from us and encourage you to let us know if we’re not meeting your expectations at any point in time. We are not successful unless you are – it’s that simple.
